(I know some of you don't like to talk about fic stuff before writing it, but I thought I'd open a discussion post just in case, haha)

I will be attempting desperately to finish the AOS fic I started for nano that's currently at about 36k words and is maaaaaaabye halfway done? I'd like to finish well before May, but I still would love to join in on the fun here!

I plan to write soulmarks/soulmates AU for Killjoys. In particular, this attractive human and this attractive human.

I think it'll land around 40k. February-April might be a little tight, but with Silas starting preschool in February, I'll have several afternoons each week where I can write.

I've been working on the world-building and plot for this since... November? October?

I'm almost definitely writing that MASH Star Trek AU, but I've been thinking a little about that MASH modern day-ish revolutionary/protest street medics AU, and I also want that to exist.

Either way: MASH. 100% MASH.

I have some scrappy thoughts, though none clinging desperately at me to be written:
-Something Martha Jones/Molly Hooper, with a side of Lestrade.
-Something from the Z for Zachariah movieverse
-Something to follow on from A Mighty Roar, but with the focus on Leslie, Leonard and Stuart.
-Top Gear space!au
-anything, help!

TOP GEAR SPACE!AU???? I've never read any Top Gear fic but I always watch their specials and my brain is breaking at the thought of a) you writing them, b) YOU WRITING THEM IN SPACE???

Honestly all of these ideas sound amazing, and you know how very much I absolutely love your writing, so I'm 1000% on board with ANYTHING you write!!

I'm so glad Jess alerted me to this post's existence, because I NEVER actually check Dreamwidth so I missed this whole thing. HI. LATE AS ALWAYS.

Anyone, I'm toying with these 3 options...

- Sheldon/Penny (yes, the old standby) in an Indiana Jones AU. (Penny is Indy's cousin, Sheldon is a stuffy academic who is forced to do field work with her.) I actually was writing this for a Saturnalia gift years ago, but couldn't get the plot details flushed out enough to get it done in time so I switched to another prompt. There's like 3.4k on it currently, but I would likely re-write a little bit of it and then the 10K would be all middle plot stuff.

- Finally write that Revenge fic with the zombie apocalypse. (Loosely connected to this fic.) Basically Nolan and Emily falling in love while the world is in ruin. The usual.

- The Veronica Mars/X-Files crossover fic I started writing for Crossovering last year and couldn't finish. (That seems to be a habit of mine.) Currently has a few words on it, but needs an actual case that makes sense so I can write a casefic.

And that's it? Maybe? I don't know? There's also a Revenge time travel fic that I thought about writing about fifty times but I never actually put any words down. WRITING IS HARD.

…NOLAN/EMILY. Of course, now I'm torn because "Nolan and Emily falling in love while the world is in ruin" is my jam, and there should be hundreds of thousands of words already written about that.

BUT ALSO, tell me more about this time travel fic, because WE HAVE NOT SPOKEN ABOUT IT? AND I HAVE SUCH FEELINGS ABOUT TIME TRAVEL. (See all the capslocks?)
